A Boy From Tupelo (FTD)

Het werd jaren aan een stuk aangekondigd door Ernst Jorgenson, en opeens was het boek beschikbaar… Een baanbrekende blockbuster over de Sun-periode van Elvis. Heel wat opnames werden in een zo origineel mogelijke versie bovengetoverd, zonder de studio “magic” die op de Sun-opnamen werd toegepast eind 1955. Soms werd hiervoor teruggekeerd naar originele Sun vinyl of shellac-uitgaven.

Heel kort na de uitgave verscheen er een nieuwe opname via een ander kanaal, die in de heruitgave op het main label (met een klein vervangend boekje) werd opgenomen.
