Take 1 of ‘Ku-U-I-Po’ is edited on the Alternate Aloha CD to take out the line “See the sweet Hawaiian rose, see it blossom through it’s nose”. The complete unedited take along with dialogue and false start can be found on the Venus bootleg release Stax ’73 – Unedited Masters.
It seems as if RCA’s tapes were rolling before the video cameras started rolling, as we get more takes or parts of takes from RCA / BMG than we do on the EPE Deluxe Aloha From Hawaii 2-DVD Box Set.
This complete after show session, although slightly edited to take out count-ins etc… can be found on the Follow That Dream 3xCD set Aloha From Hawaii via Satellite.
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis’ masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package.
