Got this album today and listening to it right now. Wonderful collection, as stated “this album represents the first retrospective to focus on this enormous body of work” (some 250 songs, 26 sessions). It sounds really fine. The album was produced by The Country Music Foundation and has an Audio/Restoration (Alan Stoker) and mastered by Custom mastering, Nashville, TN. I searched this forum and found that Anything That´s Part Of You is the till then unreleased take 1 and I´ts Still Here first time on a stand alone album, long version. Are the other songs in this collection the standard versions?
To my knowledge the rest are the standard versions. It’s Alan related to Gordon? He did the mixes on Known only to Him too.
Alan Stoker also did the transfer of the My Happiness acetate for Jack White – there’s video of him doing it on Youtube
Yes, son of The Jordanaires’ Gordon
It’s still here is the undubbed (incomplete) version (same track is released on 8 LP/CD Elvis Aron Presley)
Added a scan from test pressing.
Little Cabin Home On The Hill and Its Your Baby You Rock It were directly taken from “Elvis Country” album so no full intro and outro for them. The LP was a pleasant surprise though.
