Elvis can be heard singing part of ‘Ode To Billy Joe’ before the unedited master of ‘Hi-Heel Sneakers’ (Take 7) on the 60s Box<\/em> and La Legende – Rock ‘n’ Roll<\/em>.<\/p>\n

RCA referred to and first released the song ‘Hi-Heel Sneakers’ as ‘High Heel Sneakers’, but were ordered to change it to the correct title after it’s first release.<\/p>\n

An extended version of the already edited master of ‘Hi-Heel Sneakers’ can be found of the cassette version of the box set Elvis Aron Presley<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The original master of ‘You Don’t Know Me’ is Take 1, and it was originally released as a single, and also released on the Clambake<\/em> album. It is also this that appears on the FTD Clambake<\/em> extended soundtrack, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters<\/em> collection and the Franklin Mint<\/em> package.<\/p>\n

For some reason, the master that appeared on the 60s Box<\/em>, as well as Tomorrow Is A Long Time<\/em> and the Japanese Complete Single Collection<\/em> is spliced from Take 1 and the last chord of Take 2. The session log lists two timings for the song, so maybe there has always been two masters.<\/p>\n

The spliced master of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ is spliced as follows:

\n0:30 – 2:42 = Take 1 (3:23 – 5:35)<\/p>\n

‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ on Greatest Hits Volume 1<\/em> and The Sound Of Your Cry<\/em> have the left and right channels swapped.<\/p>\n

The fake version of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ without The Jordanaires “overdub” that can be found on “The Colonels Collection” appears to come from a stereo acetate but has the right channel removed and then centred, as you can clearly hear The Jordainaires vocals bleeding through in the background.<\/p>\n

Take 2 of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ can be found on the FTD book and CD release His Songs Of Praise Volume 2<\/em> where it is listed as being the “Extended Master”!<\/p>\n

Elvis can be heard singing a line of ‘Danny Boy’ after the count-in for Take 1 of ‘Singing Tree’.<\/p>\n
