This album contains the complete recording of the dress rehearsal of January 12, 1973 at the Honolulu International Center and as a bonus 3 of the 5 songs recorded after the concert are included with some additional studio conversation between the takes.

Special Note:

The LP-version did not include the full concert, Hound Dog was removed and for some unknown reason replaced by the bonus tune: Blue Hawaii.

Although not my favourite Elvis concert, I do enjoy the Aloha concerts. The first time I really heard them was when the dvd set came out. I thought they were very good, if not fantastic. This album is the dress rehearsal show, and when your going to be doing the first ever international satellite broadcast the next day, a rehearsal is probably in order to make sure everything is set up correctly.

I think the rehearsal was actually a better show.

[31
143
post-1913","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-1978-1990-mixes","tag-aloha-from-hawaii-01-1973
["GET
